Davis Davis is almost five years old. He is
an attentive and sensitive boy. His coat is soft like velvet, and he enjoys
his belly rubs greatly. Davis really likes to be around people, so a stay at
home person would be best, but he would be okay with a doggie playmate to
keep him company.

| Smores |

Meet Smores a sweet young boy age 2 and only 42 pounds, about 15-20 less
than his body says he should be. Smores was a stray and they think he was
hit by a car and just left until Maricopa County picked him up. Smores is
now an "Angel."

Athena Meet Athena. She is a red and white,
7yr old spayed Basset. She exhibits all of the good and not so good
behaviors of a typical Basset Hound. She loves all children and people, in
fact she would love to just lay in her peoples lap. She enjoys car rides and
walks. Athena absolutely loves her food.

Sydney Sidney is 8 years old and just wants
to give you love. He does need a dog door and no cats. Sidneys is spending
his retirement years on the couch and an occasional stroll to the park. He
likes playing with other dogs his size.

Finally I am feeling better and able to write about myself. I came to the
rescue back in December. At that time I was very sick. Due to valley fever,
my eye had to be removed. Now I take my daily medications and I am starting
to feel much better. Mom thinks I am about 4 years of age, since I was
moving so slow in the beginning everyone thought I was an older gentlemen...

Dean Hey basset lovers, I'm Dean. I'm 4 years
old, 27 lbs, and full of love. If you're looking for a cute cute little guy,
I'm your Basset. I don't like a lot of activity around, so calmer more quiet
works better for me. I love other dogs. Cats or okay, but they're as bad as
hyper teenage boys - scary...

Peanut My name is Peanut and I am 5-6 years
old. I love my foster family: 2 adults, 3 children and 4 other dogs! We get
along so well together. I am happiest when I am near my humans, and I love
to snuggle just about anywhere. I can jump on couches and reach the table,
but if you tell me not to I will obey!

Eden
Eden is a 9 year old who was relinquished to AZBHR by her former owner,
who simply did not want her anymore. She is a beautiful lemon and white
colored basset with a very gentle and quiet disposition. Eden loves to go
for rides in the car, visit the doggy park, or just walk on her leash.

Aggie
AROOOO to all! My name is
Aggie! Thank goodness for AZBHR! I was given to them because I have some
issues that my old Mom & Dad could not deal with. It was a pretty close call
but they saved me! I am a very loving, beautiful, full sized girl.

Clarke
Clarke is a dear, sweet, 3 year old basset boy - most of the time! He
does have some issues and in particular does not like to be made to get off
the bed or furniture, or have things taken away from him. Clark was kept as
a breeding dog and has clearly never been part of a loving family before,
and this is just what he needs.

Chewie is the name but chewing is not my game. I'm a fun and energetic
8-9 year old Basset who loves to go for walks and LOVES his people. Chewie
needs a family who is home a lot as he's got some separation anxiety issues.

Vladimir
It's getting cold up here in Flagstaff and sweet Vladimir has already
picked out his favorite blankie and a warm cozy spot on the couch and is
ready to watch the snow fall. This handsome hound is 9 years young, sweet,
charismatic, talkative, and always wagging his tail.

Micah Can you spare some lovin’ for a
handsome Basset Boy? Then I’m your guy! I’m a 10 year old lemon and white
that came from the Arizona Humane Society after having some tumors removed
so now I’m healthy and ready to go. I’m sweet and get along great with other
dogs and love my people.

Jack Hi! I'm Jack - so called because I
may be half basset, but my foster mom is convinced I have some Jack Russell
terrier in me! I am one happy, bouncy dog! If someone had a frisbee, she is
convinced I could become a champion! Apparently, she doesn't have one
because my four-legged foster brothers and sisters just kind of sit around
here not doing much.

Tennyson If you're looking for an energetic
young bouncing hound, then say hello to Tennyson! Tennyson, (full name
Alfred Lord Tennyson) was bestowed the name of the great poet due to his
position as the 10th basset his foster parents have had. He's the perfect
tri-colored hound, with both brown and black spots!

AZBHR from a puppy mill in Missouri. They are both shy and not very trusting
of people. When they first came to their foster home they spent most of
their time outside. If given the time they both will warm up to you and
start giving you the love they have in them. Both girls are very sweet and
loving.

Kyla (#100018) Hello to all of you!! My name
is Kyla, and I am about 8 1/2yrs. old. My new friend, Noelle, was a bit
lonely when Frederica found her forever home, so I volunteered to step in
and fill the gap. You see, Noelle and I have been through similar
experiences. I was also attacked by a large dog and suffered some nasty
bites. I was surrendered to AZBHR when my family couldn't get the care I
needed.

Bliss Bliss is 9 years old, but
she did tell me that a lady doesn't have to tell her age. She has been
spayed, up-to-date on all her shots, and microchipped. She's a tri-color gal
with lots of freckles. She is not partial to small dogs. Appears to be okay
with kitties. Bliss is a little chubby, but loves to go on walks, as long as
they're not too long.

Marina
Hi! My name is Marina. I am a 3-year-old blue basset hound. I was taken
into AZBHR when my previous family could no longer properly care for me. I
am a social butterfly who does not know a stranger. I have been busy
visiting the dog park, taking long walks through the neighborhood, playing
with all of my toys and going on car rides.

Please welcome Noelle to AZBHR. She is a sweet, easy going 11 yr. old
girl who has been through a very traumatic experience. Before she was
relinquished to our Rescue, she was attacked by
two large dogs and suffered severe injuries to her left front leg.
Noelle is an AZBHR "Angel".

Hello, my name is Carly. I'm a 10 year old beauty. My mother was forced to
give me up for health reasons. I have been given a clean bill of health from
the vet. My fur is so soft you won't be able to keep your hands off me and
that suites me just fine, on a scale of 1 to 10 for attention, I am a 10.

This is Benjamin, Ben for short. Ben is a very special guy with very
special needs. He is 6years old and has not had much in the way of
socialization. He needs a new Mom and Dad that will show him that life is
good and that not all people are bad. He is very picky on who he likes and
who he doesn't, so he when he picks his new family, he is yours FOREVER. You
see when Ben likes you he REALLY likes you.

Andre (#99702)
Andre is a handsome 10 year old senior that is looking to spend his
remaining years watching a little TV, having a belly rub and loving his stay
at home mom and dad. He is very lovable and sweet as can be. Andre is in
relatively good health for a senior with the only exception of being
incontinent when he is sleeping. The daily medication Phenylpropanol
controls this.
