Hello Everybody! My name is Penelope and I am it! I am having a blast with my foster parents and my 7 best friends! I might be 8 years old but let me tell you, I can keep up with all the rest of these hounds! I can play with the best of them and am very good at running the "Basset 500". My Foster mom and dad call me Peanut because they think I am a little nut! I am a very smart hound because I love to talk and I will tell you if I want anything! I can tell you if I want to go out, when it is time to eat or if I want a snack! I love baby carrots as a healthy snack, and when you give me one I am learning how to shake your hand! Sometimes I talk too much but Mom has really been teaching me how not to talk just to hear myself! I am very good with other dogs and cat's are o.k. When I came into the rescue I had a problem with Valley Fever and am on medication for it now but I just know my next check up is going to be a really good one! Mom & Dad say I am a very healthy girl and are surprised at how well I am doing.

I love to go for rides and am really good on a leash. I sleep on my own pillow at night and have discovered the bean bag chair, it's pretty darn comfortable! I also like recliners so I hope someone has one for me, yes, I will share!  I can play puppy all day but my favorite time is "quiet time" when I get to be loved on after a hard day of play! I am very loving and tummy rubs are a bonus! If you look into my beautiful eyes I will steal your heart! I would prefer to have a best friend to hang out with, maybe a boy friend as I try to be the dominant female. When I try to be the dominant female here, most of the girls ignore me and play with someone else!

I have been moved around a few times and would really like to find my forever home for good! I am spayed, micro chipped and ready for love! I promise to be the best dog in the world and give lots of love.
