Lovingly called "Beanie", Verbena's very nonassuming, except when she decides it's treat time. Then she starts with little, low arooos, slowly building up steam if ignored, She dances too, doing a little tap dance that goes with her singing. All in all, she has an amusing act. She's also noisy at food time, trying to convince us to hurry up, she's starving (NOT). |

Can you spare some lovin’ for a handsome Basset Boy? Then I’m your guy! I’m a 10 year old lemon and white that came from the Arizona Humane Society after having some tumors removed so now I’m healthy and ready to go. I’m sweet and get along great with other dogs and love my people. |

My name is Cosmo. I am an old man, 12+ years old they tell me. I was brought to Maricopa County Animal Control in Phoenix, AZ . I was scared and sad and didnt move a muscle in that kennel. I was scheduled to be euthanized on Monday morning at 11 o'clock. Just at 11 a kind person from AZBHR came and saved me. I could barely walk and she had to lift me into the car. |

AROOOO to all! My name is Aggie! Thank goodness for AZBHR! I was given to them because I have some issues that my old Mom & Dad could not deal with. It was a pretty close call but they saved me! I am a very loving, beautiful, full sized girl. |

It's getting cold up here in Flagstaff and sweet Vladimir has already picked out his favorite blankie and a warm cozy spot on the couch and is ready to watch the snow fall. This handsome hound is 9 years young, sweet, charismatic, talkative, and always wagging his tail. |

Please welcome Noelle to AZBHR. She is a sweet, easy going 11 yr. old girl who has been through a very traumatic experience. Before she was relinquished to our Rescue, she was attacked by two large dogs and suffered severe injuries to her left front leg. |

My fur is so soft you won't be able to keep your hands off me and that suites me just fine, on a scale of 1 to 10 for attention, I am a 10. |

This is Benjamin, Ben for short. Ben is a very special guy with very special needs. He is 6years old and has not had much in the way of socialization. He needs a new Mom and Dad that will show him that life is good and that not all people are bad. He is very picky on who he likes and who he doesn't, so he when he picks his new family, he is yours FOREVER. You see when Ben likes you he REALLY likes you. |

Andre is a handsome 10 year old senior that is looking to spend his remaining years watching a little TV, having a belly rub and loving his stay at home mom and dad. He is very lovable and sweet as can be. Andre is in relatively good health for a senior with the only exception of being incontinent when he is sleeping. The daily medication Phenylpropanol controls this. |

Chewie is the name but chewing is not my game. I'm a fun and energetic 8-9 year old Basset who loves to go for walks and LOVES his people. Monique is a SWEET 12 year old tri colored female who is very lucky to be here. Monique was at the west side shelter in Phoenix when a volunteer went to check out a Basset in F176. What Kim (the volunteer) saw was the sweetest old Basset with huge cyst that was all bloody and crusted on her back yet Monique was wagging her tail and getting loved on... |

Hello everyone, my name is Dino and Im so nervous my little hind legs are trembling as my foster mommy is writing this for me. Im 12 years old and the story of my life begins when my Basset sister Ellie and I were the cherished babies of our owner for 10 years of our lives. The situation changed for us however when our owner had a change in his life and it caused us to be living outdoors in Phoenix. |

Imogene (pronounced Emma Jean) is my name and I’m the one you are looking for. I’m a sweet lady with lots of energy and very short Basset legs. I’m 11 years old and a tri-color Basset who came into the rescue with really bad teeth issues but thanks to AZBHR that’s all taken care of. I love all my Basset siblings and get along with everyone.

Hi, my name is Charlie. I am now 2 years old, and I have the energy of a pup! My foster Mom said that I am a "special needs" dog. That is because I had Parvo when I was only 8 weeks old and suffered from a very high fever. Although I did recover from this awful disease, this fever resulted in some brain damage, so I now have some neurological problems which sometimes cause me to have seizures. Because of this I'm now an AZBHR "Angel" |

Potter, affectionately know as Potsy, is a short, 60 pound, six year old male, lemon and white in color, soft and gentle in soul. He came to us from the E list after being turned into our local humane society by his owner who no longer had room for him. |
