Chandler has made himself right at home in his “forever”
foster home. His days are spent usually on a couch, on a bed with his
head on a pillow, or basking in the warm Arizona sun. He is no longer
the timid “little” boy saved from the Westside Shelter after being given
away by his former owner. How and why this boy was given away is beyond
our comprehension. Loyal, happy, grateful. Have you ever been truly
hugged by a dog? Whenever his foster mom and dad come home, he is the
happy greeter with his favorite ducky in his mouth. He could very well
be the longest hound on record! At 68 pounds at his last visit to the
vet, strict orders to cut back on his food did not meet with his liking.
Counter cruising and dumpster diving has now become a past time sport.
Foster mom and dad are doing their best to keep this boy healthy with
some potential kidney issues lurking. Poor guy has a front “funky” foot
but that has not slowed him down a bit. He would probably be happy if,
for just one evening, he could catch his tail. He serves as a wonderful
foot warmer for his foster dad every evening watching the news on the
couch. His singing career is slowly developing. His favorite diddy is “I
Wuv Arooo”. Bottom line, Chandler is simply a great boy with so much
love to give. We consider ourselves lucky to have him in our home and a
part of our lives. He brings true joy to every day. |
