Waddle of the Green 2010
Arizona Basset Hound Rescue
Saturday, March 13th
St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Central Phoenix |
 Join us and waddle with your Basset Hound or Bloodhound & raise money for
AZBHR to help continue to the save the hounds! Be a wee bit Irish for the day!

Let’s Raise $30,000 for the Hounds. So set up your online fundraising page today
at www.firstgiving.com/azbassetrescue in honor of your hound, foster dog or in
memorial of your hound at the Rainbow Bridge. There is a minimum $25 donation
per dog to waddle (foster dogs free). You can set up an online page or use the
Pledge Sheet to collect your donations.

Timeline Details – All Walkers & Dogs must be at
Park by 8:30am!
Registration begins at 7:30 AM and ends at 8:30 AM
Bring your pledge sheets, pledges and how much you raised on your
website to the registration area.
Location: Margaret T. Hance Park (NOTE: New Registration
Area) is located behind The Phoenix Center, 1202 N 3rd St, (3rd St &
Moreland)Rides will be available after you register to the start of the
parade from 7:30am to 8:30am (Volunteers are needed to drive
participants to parade beginning).
Parade will march down Third Street from Virginia to
East Moreland by Margaret T. Hance Park
The parade begins at 10 AM. Marchers will line up at 9:30 AM. After the
parade we’ll have lunch, merchandise sale, raffle, awards for 1st, 2nd
and 3rd highest pledge raisers at Hance Park. Please bring your own
chairs or blankets for the party in the park after the parade.
If you think your basset may get tired halfway through, consider
bringing a wagon with you to pull him/her the rest of the way. The
parade committee has asked that we keep pace with the rest of the parade
so please plan accordingly. Pooped-Pup-Pickup-Trucks will also be
available for tired hounds (not tired people)!
All dogs must be current on shots and be on a leash at all times. We
recommend no more than one dog per walker.Water will be available in the
staging area and at the park. Please bring your own water for the parade
route. Dress comfortable and based upon the weather.

AZBHR will be at the Arizona Animal Fair in Tucson.
Date: February 20th, 2010
Time: 10:00-4:00
Place: Reid Park, near Country Club & 22nd St.
The Animal Fair is one of the Southwest's largest pet events. It features animal
rescue groups, vendors, demonstrations, food, and fun! We'll have super cute
bassets as well as info on adopting, fostering, and volunteering. Friendly furry
members of your family are welcome to attend.

2nd Annual Tucson Canine
Classic
Save The Date! April 3rd is the day of the second annual Tucson
Canine Classic. The 5K walk/run also features a one mile walk and a pet
expo. This year the event will be held on the University of Arizona Mall. We
need people and bassets to be at the booth, plus people to walk and show off
their bassets. Go to
